Why become a member?

A membership with the Professional Resource Center (PRC) supports those involved with the Early Learning and Child Care community by providing access to research, quality materials, specialized technologies, and engaging continuous professional learning. 
​
Did you know that being a member of the PRC is also recognized as belonging to a professional organization? Our evidence based resources combine current research and quality materials to enhance your programs, and understanding of learning. Members receive a weekly bulletin, occasional discounts on in-house workshops, lending privileges for our library and access to our data bank of research and early learning and care articles. Members also receive updates on current information in the ELCC community and have access to our work stations and equipment (laminator, computer, binding machine etc). Becoming a member is easy

You may join the Early Childhood Professional Resource Center as an individual member or you might consider a group membership if you are part of a large organization. Memberships are renewed on an annual basis. You can submit your completed membership form through e-mail, mail or in person. Payment can be made by debit or credit card in person or through our NEW on-line registration.

Individual Plans:
  • Student plan $30/yr -  If you are a current student in a related field of practice you qualify for a discounted rate. Student memberships entitle you to take up to 1 kit, 3 reference/text or 1 media device for a maximum of three items from the  lending library at a time. You will be required to show your student card when registering. 
  • Professional Membership $35/yr -  This membership is for any professional working in the field of early learning and child care. This membership entitles you to  take up to 3 kits, 3 reference/text or 1 media device for a maximum of three items from the lending library at a time.

Group Plans:
  • Group plans begin with as little as 5 members. Group memberships save significantly as the group grows. Each member within the group still receives all the privileges of an individual member. For your personal quote please click here. or call 519-748-5220 ext. 3388. Provide the name of your organization and the total amount of members in your party.

Once a member...

Your membership is activated immediately after payment and registration. You will begin to receive the weekly messages. You will also gain access to our "Member's Only" section of this website, full of additional links and resources. We make it easy to keep informed with the latest news in the field, and in our Region. You will receive a membership key-fob after your first visit to our library. You will need to have it with you, or photo ID in order to access the library, equipment, and services available at our Centre.
