HighScope Educational Research Foundation is an independent nonprofit research, development, training, and public outreach organization with headquarters in Ypsilanti, Michigan. HighScope's mission is to lift lives through education. They envision a world in which all educational settings use active participatory learning so everyone has a chance to succeed in life and contribute to society.

The Ontario Reggio Association supports those who are interested in participating in dialogue with the work of the Infant-Toddler Centres and Preprimary Schools of Reggio Emilia, Italy. The focus is to deepen our understanding of what is possible when children are seen as creators of culture, as citizens in a democracy and protagonists in their own learning, in a context of co-inquiry with teachers, parents, and the community.

Forest School [FS] is an educational approach that has existed worldwide since the late 1950s, with over ten thousand Forest School programs in the UK alone. It has many different names, (ranging from Nature Kindergarten, Outdoor School, Waldkindergarten, Rain or Shine School, Bush School, etc.), yet all Forest School programs adhere to: regular and repeated access to a natural space, as well as child-directed, emergent and inquiry-based learning.
