Adopt 4 Life Volunteer needed

10/31/2016

Waterloo Region’s Foster/Adopt Support Group (known as P2P KW Adopt4Life Support Group) is currently seeking mature volunteers to engage in children’s programing and delivery which will allow families to fully participate in the adult focused support group.

The meetings take place at Northside Baptist Church (1373 Lobsinger Line, Waterloo) and run from 6 – 8 PM on the second Thursday of each month (next meeting is Thurs Nov 10th). The program will involve a diverse range of children (age, ability, family dynamics, needs etc.), and therefore we are seeking individuals who can plan and support for this group of children in meaningful and engaging ways (activities, games, art and more).

This is a wonderful opportunity to build experience working with diverse families and children in our Region while supporting a much needed community resource. Volunteers in related fields of practice or study that can contribute to this work will be preferred, but not required. It is expected that volunteers have a valid criminal reference check that is up to date. Please send your letter of interest to Heather at heather@adopt4life.com, along with a reference. We thank all those who express their interest, only those selected will be contacted.
