Term: 17.5 hrs. per week/ 1 year contract
Major Responsibilities:
- Formats and transcribes all material as needed
- Assists Program Coordinators in the collection, editing and entering of research and report data
- Assists in the calculation and compiling of monthly, quarterly and annual statistical data
- Consults with Program Coordinators for all information going out to the public
- Confirm meetings, reschedule appointments, and or clarifies information as requested.
- Records and maintains lists of all program resources and materials
- Ensures that RTB resources borrowed from the library are returned in good condition.
- Assist with all RTB events
- Maintains contact lists for advisory committees, community programs and child care centres and home care agencies
- Coordinates professional education registrations and payment
- Obtains quotes for materials and resources as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, analytical, negotiation, problem solving, public speaking, time management skills
- Effective use of current technology including databases, and website maintenance
- Knowledge of the principles/effective practices of quality early learning and care (0-12 years) programs
- Awareness of the need for and respect of confidentiality
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
- Ability to work flexible hours and act independently and as a team player
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License, and a safe driving record and access to independent transportation
- Clear English verbal and written communication skills, second language an asset
