This role requires regular travel across the Regional Municipality of Waterloo and occasionally to Perth County. Regular work locations may not always be easily accessible by public transit. The employee must be able to arrange their own transportation to these sites. A valid G driver's license and full-time vehicle access are strongly recommended.

What you will do…
- Division of Administration tasks and direct delivery programming at EarlyON
- Mobile locations and EarlyON Centres.
- Regular hours for this position include a rotation of daytime, evening (up to 9pm) and Saturdays.
- Full time position – 37.5 hours per week.
- To assist in ensuring EarlyON mobile sites are offering high quality, age and developmentally appropriate EarlyON programs and services
- To assist in ensuring that our EarlyON Experience at mobile programs aligns with the family support framework, and it meets and/or exceeds the regulations outlined by the Child Care and Early Years Act (2014); the Service Guidelines for EarlyON Child and Family Centres; the expectations of the Consolidated
- Municipal Service Manager; the Public Health Unit; and the policies, procedures and protocols outlined by the YMCA of Three Rivers.
- Ensures that all requirements outlined in EarlyON Best Practices are in place and being followed.
- Ensures that the YMCA of Three Rivers Safeguarding Policy is being followed. ·To provide onsite leadership support to EarlyON mobile teams when a Supervisor is not onsite.
- Recording observations and reflections and creating own and reviewing team documentations, environmental set up and program planning alongside Supervisor
- Monitoring program implementation, training new staff on curriculum and EarlyON expectations alongside EarlyON Leadership team.
- To assist with supervision of staff, volunteers and students through recruitment, selection, orientation, scheduling, training, performance reviews and other human resource-related tasks as requested by leadership.
- To assist in ensuring fiscal parameters are maintained under the direction of the EarlyON Supervisor
- Maintains effective and positive communication with the YMCA of Three Rivers as an organization, children, parents and community contacts.
- Ensures quality programs and services are delivered, equipment/supplies are maintained and programs and procedures are monitored regularly.
- Meets or exceeds performance expectations.
MISCELLANEOUS:
- Models appropriate behaviours to staff in line with our Mission, Vision and Values; establishes rapport and maintains effective relationship-building behaviours with staff and members.
- Represents the YMCA of Three Rivers in a professional manner in internal and external forums.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Assisting with all administrative responsibilities (KEyON calendars/KEyON account creation support/tours, attendance and registration processes, supervising staff, students and volunteers).
- Attends Y events and community events on behalf of EarlyON and encourages staff to attend, participate, volunteer, etc. (i.e. Events where EarlyON support is required, social events)
- Takes initiative with extra administrative tasks and learning administrative tasks.
- Promptly addresses all concerns within the centre/mobile site.
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills (parent/staff concerns).
- Conducting/assisting with staff meetings and hub meetings
- Demonstrate a knowledge of Health & Safety policies and ensure they are implemented
- Any other responsibilities/duties as assigned.
What you will bring…
- You are a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in early years and child care direct delivery programming with families.
- Familiar with the Child Care and Early Years Act (2014) and have knowledge and expertise in child development and play and inquiry-based learning.
- Familiar with EarlyON Child and Family Centres and/or EarlyON Service Delivery Guidelines.
- You 2-3 years experience in creating environments that nurture relationships for children, parents and caregivers based on the latest evidence and research
- You have a demonstrated knowledge How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years and experience delivering high quality early years programs.
- Standard First Aid/CPR Level C
- Current, Clear, Vulnerable Sector Police Criminal Check
- Relationship building, communication, adaptability, creativity, innovation, and teamwork are key competencies you rely on your day to day work.
