We are looking for dynamic and capable educators (Registered Early Childhood Educators and Provincially Certified Teachers) to join the Eenchokay Birchstick School Team for the 2018-2019 school year. Do you have a desire to teach elementary level students in mathematics, literacy, health, social studies and science? We will have openings for various positions and are looking for applicants effective with student management, who can teach diverse ability groups, and who have a willingness to participate in team planning and professional development. You will be asked to help develop and implement the prescribed Pikangikum mathematics and literacy programs. Day to day activities may include supervision duty, mandatory team planning sessions, lesson delivery, and record keeping.

Pikangikum is a community of 3,000 people where Ojibway is spoken as the primary language. It is located 1 hour by plane or 6 hours by car from Winnipeg. From Thunder Bay it is a 90 minute flight or 7 hours by car. Eenchokay Birchstick school is situated in the heart of the Community and currently has about 175 total staff and 850 full time students.
