Camp Leader I Needed

Applications are invited for the temporary, full-time position of: CAMP LEADER I (Unionized position) 

 DUTIES:
Would include but are not limited to:
Facilitating high quality programming at camp
Includes ordering and purchasing of supplies
Planning first day and last day activities as well as special days
Providing resources to front line staff and acting as a member of the senior team
 Responsible for maintaining inventories and transporting supplies to and from camp
Responsible for camp operations in the Supervisor's absence

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will be creative, enthusiastic, flexible and organized
At least two years camp leadership experience
Related degree or diploma and computer experience are definite assets
Must be certified in First Aid and C.P.R.
All applicants must have a valid driver's licence and reliable transportation

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week. This position begins June 29, 2015 until August 28, 2015
WAGE:  $14.934 per hour, with an additional 2% in lieu of benefits.

Camp Leader II Needed

CAMP LEADER II
(unionized position)

DUTIES:
Would include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for the safe implementation of challenging, fun and age appropriate camp activities including, survival skills, crafts, games and nature activities. 
  • Daily cleaning and general upkeep of the camp facilities are also part of everyday duties.
  • Leaders may also be assigned to provide extended childcare or bus supervision during some sessions.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • The successful candidates will be dedicated, enthusiastic, safety conscious and creative
  • Minimum of one year experience with school age children
  • Experience in a camp setting
  • Related degree or diploma is an asset.
  • Must be certified in First Aid and C.P.R.
 
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week. This position begins June 29, 2015 until August 28, 2015
WAGE:  $14.347 per hour, with an additional 2% in lieu of benefits.

Camp Supervisor Needed

Applications are invited for the temporary, full-time position of
CAMP SUPERVISOR (unionized position)

DUTIES:
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of camp
To assist in promotion prior to the beginning of camp
Responsible for scheduling staff and daily activities
Monitoring staff performance
Ensuring health and safety standards are met
Maintaining positive relations with parents, service groups and donors

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will be flexible, creative and organized with excellent communication and facilitation skills
Minimum of three years camp experience, one-year administrative experience and related degree or diploma
Certification in First Aid and C.P.R.
Computer experience
All applicants must have a valid driver's licence and reliable transportation

HOURS: This position begins June 15th with 10 hours per week. Full time hours begin June 29, 2015 until August 28, 2015.  Full time hours are 8:30 to 4:30 daily, Monday to Friday (hours subject to change based on the needs of the program).
RATE OF PAY:  $17.023 per hour, with an additional 2% in lieu of benefits

Senior Lifeguard Needed

SENIOR LIFEGUARD
(unionized position)

DUTIES:
Would include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the safe operation of our waterfront program
Implementing policies and procedures and safety standards
Programming fun, challenging waterfront activities

QUALIFICATIONS:
·The successful candidate will be alert, safety conscious, flexible and enthusiastic
· Have a current National Lifeguard Service Certification
· Have a current Red Cross Instructor's Certification an asset
· At least two years camp leadership experience
· Related degree or diploma is an asset
· Must be certified in First Aid and C.P.R.

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week. This position begins June 29, 2015 until August 28, 2015
WAGE:  $14.934 per hour, with an additional 2% in lieu of benefits.

Lifeguard Needed

LIFEGUARD
(unionized position)

DUTIES:
Would include but are not limited to:
·May either be assigned to leader duties or lifeguard duties.
·For leaders' duties, please refer to Leader posting.  
- Lifeguards are responsible for the safe operation of our waterfront program including, implementing policies and procedures and safety standards as well as programming fun, challenging waterfront activities.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Alert, safety conscious, flexible, enthusiastic
  • Minimum swimming level of Bronze Cross
  • Lifeguards must also have the qualifications outlined for Leaders.
 
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week. This position begins June 29, 2015 until August 28, 2015
WAGE:   $14.390 per hour, with an additional 2% in lieu of benefits.
