KidsAbility School Authority is currently seeking applications for ‘Supply Educational Assistants’. Supply Educational Assistants will work under the supervision of the Administrator at the school and receive direction from the teacher (s) at that site.
KidsAbility School Authority operates schools in Waterloo at the KidsAbility Centre, 500 Hallmark Drive and in Cambridge, behind the Cambridge Y, 250 Hespeler Road.
Supply Educational Assistants at KidsAbility School are required to support students with a variety of special needs. This work includes providing support for behavior, safety, medical, toileting and physical needs of a student.
Successful candidates for the supply position will be working on an “on call” basis from September to June and be willing to complete all aspects of the Educational Assistant role.
Must have an EA Diploma, or equivalent college or university degree in a child related field (please note, that Thomson Direct correspondence, St. Louis Adult Learning EA and Stratford Career Institute courses are not an acceptable qualification).
The rate of pay is established by the KidsAbility School Authority Board.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal background check with the vulnerable sector, which must be received by KidsAbility School Authority prior to the commencement of employment. Additional information will be provided during the interview.
