Children's Services Assistant Coordinator
YW Kitchener-Waterloo
(Non-unionized Position)
If you have a minimum of two years work experience in early childhood education in a leadership role, the capacity to give attention to detail, think creatively, and be flexible, YW Kitchener-Waterloo invites your application for the temporary full-time position of:
 
CHILDREN’S SERVICES ASSISTANT COORDINATOR
(September 2021- September 2023 or until incumbents return)
(non-union position)
 
Qualifications:
  • Registered Early Childhood Education Certification or equivalent
  • Familiarity with the standards and regulations of the Childcare and Early Years Act, HDLH, Early Years Engage, and Public Health
  • Demonstrated skill in all areas of program development; training and supervision of staff; and record keeping
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Efficient analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A valid driver’s license and availability of a vehicle
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling staff
 
In this position you will be part of a team responsible for programs geared at infants to children 13 years of age, under the overall direction of a Director of Children’s Services.
 
Annual Pay: $51,772.50
Hours: 37.5 hours per week September – June, 25 hours per week July to August
