What you will do…

You will be part of a vibrant Child Care community creating a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for children and youth to learn and grow. This will be achieved through your planning & implementation of a consistent child-centered program in accordance with YMCA curriculums Playing to Learn and A Place To Connect. You will participate in and apply knowledge from research to children’s learning all while developing strong relationships with families and peers.

What you will bring…

Ideally, you will have completed a Community College ECE diploma program or an equivalent program (i.e. Recreation & Leisure, Child & Youth Worker, Ontario College of Teachers) and have experience implementing child-centered programs. You will have a commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to diverse needs. You will have well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with children, families, educators and community partners.
