· The incumbent must possess an ECE diploma plus a membership in the
College of ECE, along with a minimum of two years’ experience working in
licensed child care.
· Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), enthusiasm, leadership skills and a team work approach are definite assets.
· Be responsible for providing a physically safe and emotionally supportive
environment; showing sensitivity to the individual developmental need
of the child.
· Plan and implement age appropriate programs to enhance children’s development while ensuring the philosophy of the program is upheld.
·Be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the childcare centre while providing leadership and support to staff in the centre.
The position is based on an eight hour work day. Half the day is spent as site
supervisor, half time in program. This is a one year maternity leave position.
