We are seeking a creative and energetic Registered Early Childhood Educator who is eager to join our team. Our Place is a non-profit organization that engages all children, their families, and their support networks in learning opportunities to promote optimal development of children, healthy families, strong community and a sense of belonging. We offer innovative programs and services for children and families in neighbourhoods throughout Waterloo Region. Our Place is an EarlyON | Waterloo Region mobile program site operator. The RECE in this position will be part of the Early Learning team in working directly with children and families. This position will report to the Early Years Program Coordinator. You must enjoy working collaboratively and be knowledgeable in early learning pedagogies and family support.

Qualifications Required:
- A current membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- 3 – 5 years experience working in programs with children from birth to age six and their families
- Demonstrated interest, knowledge and/or experience with early learning pedagogies, especially How Does Learning Happen? (Ministry of Education, 2014) and The Kindergarten Program (Ministry of Education, 2016) and delivering high quality early learning programs.
- Experience and strong competency with parent engagement
- Proven ability and willingness to work as an integral member of a team within virtual and in-person work environments
- Experience and strong competency with parent engagement
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in French and/or other languages an asset
- Standard First Aid with CPR Level C required
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check and Family and Children’s Services Check required
- Access to vehicle is required
- Certification in the following areas an asset: Strong Minds Strong Kids Make the Connection program, IAIM Infant Massage training, Strong Start Baby Connections Building Blocks to Literacy training
- Implementing play based, child and family centered activities and programs that promote early learning and support children’s holistic development
- Providing a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment that supports a sense of belonging for children and their families.
- Assisting families in accessing information and community resources related to child development and early learning.
- Set-up program areas that result in an environment that is safe and welcoming with various inclusive invitations to play
- Travelling to various locations across Waterloo Region to deliver mobile site programs and services
