Qualifications:
This is the sort of thing you'll be responsible for:
- Implements quality programming for children ages 0-12 years old in accordance with Ontario’s Pedagogy, “How Does Learning Happen”
- Provide support to all children in the classroom and understand each child’s specific needs to enable them to fully participate in activities
- Establish and maintain collaborative, supportive relationships with parents/guardians, colleagues, and community professionals
- Embrace reflective practices that respect diversity, equity, and inclusion with all children, families, and colleagues
- Experience with HiMama or similar software for documentation and reporting purposes is a plus, but not a must.
- Other related duties as assigned
It would be truly awesome (and required) if you also had:
- A degree or diploma in early childhood education from a recognized college or university
- Embrace reflective practices that respect diversity, equity, and inclusion with all children, families, and colleagues
- Vulnerable sector criminal reference check (within the last six months) or ability to obtain VSCRC as a condition of employment
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C or ability to obtain same as a condition of employment
