10/25/2017

Montessori School of Cambridge, a not-for-profit and registered charity, We are a CCMA Accredited School that is licensed under the Child Care and Early Years Act.

We require for November 6, 2017 a R.E.C.E.  Our school offers programs for toddler through age six for 85 students!  Our preschool program serving children from 2.5 to 6 years of age began in 1972.  Programs are: half-day mornings or half-day afternoons, “school day” from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for JK/SK age children and an integrated full day with maximum attendance from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for 2.5 to 6 year olds.  Our school has 3 well-developed and completely equipped casa classrooms and a beautiful Toddler environment.

The R.E.C.E. will team-teach with an experienced Montessori educator.  Hours of work are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 9 to 5:30 p.m. (approximately) with a one hour lunch break.  Paid hours are 37.5 per week.  Ideal candidates value and understand the preschool child; demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly with children, teaching partners and parents; are able to adapt and change to solve problems and to plan and work in a collaborative manner.  Contract period is 44 weeks (10 months), September to June.  Individual salary is dependent upon education and experience.  One week before the start of classes and one week following the end of classes is under contract to be used for planning, preparation, cleaning, in-service, meeting with parents or children etc.  There are three weeks paid holidays- two weeks at Christmas plus one week at March Break.
The school offers a flexible benefits amount per full time employee.

We support professional development through tuition paid conferences and release time.  Annually two school-wide Professional Development Days are scheduled.  Also, two days are set aside twice per year, in December and in June, for Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Please forward resumes by November 1st, 2017 to:
