Occasional Home Childcare for Two Young Children Ages 4 and 2
Looking to hire a recent grad (or soon to be graduate) of the ECE program to provide child care for my 2 sons.
Shifts: Wed June 15 - Thurs June 30 7 am - 3 pm
Regular biweekly shifts through the school year (likely Saturday morning from 9 - 12, and Tuesday evenings from 4 - 8). Other occasional shifts mutually agreed upon.
Location: We live in Waterloo. We have a clean, organised home with a playroom, a grassy backyard, and a playground park behind our property.
Who we are: I'm a highschool science teacher. My husband is a doctor. My 4 year old has just finished one year of Montessori Preschool. He is lovely, bright and has many independent skills. My 2 year old has been at day-care and is very happy and social.
Remuneration: We will offer a competitive wage.
Who you are: You are engaging and proactive. You enjoy providing stimulating activities/play experiences and also know how to respect individual imaginative parallel play time. You understand attachment theory and are willing to build a relationship with my children and would be interested in growing with our family over the years. You can maintain basic house chores while providing child care (i.e. putting the dishes in the dishwasher after snack time, putting the toys away before moving to the next activity).

Next steps: All interested applicants should send a resume and cover letter to rachelobrien7@gmail.com. Only successful applications will be contacted for an interview. If you cannot commit to the June shifts, but are interested in the longer term care, please specify in your cover letter.
