- Building warm and caring relationships with children and families.
- Planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the needs and interests of the children and HDLH.
- Promote the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual well-being of the children.
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment.
- Follow all LCNS policies and procedures and CCEYA regulations.
- Adhere to the philosophy of LCNS.
- Contribute to all aspects of daily classroom requirements including setting up provocations, serving snack, toileting and diapering, cleaning, and reporting.
- Actively engage in ongoing professional learning.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent and current registration with the College of ECE.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast paced, flexible environment.
- Experience working with children with complex needs.
- Working knowledge of the CCEYA.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Records check.
- Proof of up-to-date immunizations for TB, Tetanus and MMR.
- Current First Aid and CPR “C” training.
- Certificate in Safe Food handling is an asset.
