The summer camp facilitator will be responsible for leading weekly camps focused on helping the children have fun & learn at the same time.
Responsibilities: -Supervising children in attendance and keeping a safe, fun environment -Follow planned schedule and guided activities -Clean & sanitize the facility before, during, & after camp -Organize & return supplies to proper storage areas after use -Actively screen participants upon arrival -Keep accurate cleaning & visitor logs -Ensuring proper handwashing & social distancing practices are followed -Maintain open communication with owners and other staff
Requirements: -CPR Level C certified -Current vulnerable sector report -Education within Child & Youth Sectors, Education, Early Childhood Education or related field -Ability to work unsupervised -Enthusiasm and passion for interacting with children of all ages and abilities -Basic computer skills as scheduling, clockins & curriculum are all in electronic format
Previous experience running a camp program & knowledge of current pandemic protocols is an asset, additional training will be provided.
Full time position available July-August 8 am-5 pm 5 days per week for 4-8 weeks with possibility of continuing part time. Compensation is $14-16 per hour depending on experience.
