Part time nanny one day a week for 20 month old and 3.5 year old children
We’re looking to hire an ECE graduate or soon-to-be graduate as a part-time nanny for our two toddlers, 20 months and 3.5 years.
Location: NE Kitchener (Kiwanis Park)
Days: One day a week; preference for Tuesdays but open to Wed or Thurs; occasionally more than one day a week as requested and if available.
Hours: 8am to 8pm, with morning and afternoon breaks, and a lunch break.
Duration: Starting as soon as possible; shorter term but exact duration TBD.
It’s important that you are First-Aid & CPR certified, have proof of full vaccination, and provide a vulnerable sector (police) check. Previous nanny or babysitting experience, especially for young children, is preferred.
The majority of the day will be taking care of our younger child while the older one attends preschool and summer camp, but portions of the day will require caring for both children. You will be providing a helping hand to a stay-at-home mom.
Care requirements include helping with meals and snacks, diaper / potty assistance, helping with nap / bedtime routines, keeping the playroom / toys tidy throughout the day.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of our two toddlers
Consider balanced nutrition when preparing meals and snacks and ensure food is consumed safely
Assist with bath time, dressing and potty/diaper changes throughout the day
Take initiative and use best judgment in managing a balance between free play / child-led play, and more structured or creative activities
Qualifications:
First-Aid and CPR training
Full vaccination
Vulnerable sector check through police department (to be reimbursed)
Experience caring for toddlers / young children
Able to take initiative in planning activities
