Part-Time Contract RECE for At-Home Support

6/3/2021

Part-Time Contract RECE
for At-Home Support
Starting as early as June 7th through to June 30th
(1-5pm, Monday through Friday)

We are looking to have a recent ECE grad come to our home to spend afternoons with our daughter, Piper (aged 5, JK), engaging in play-based learning and activities.  She has struggled with the shift to remote learning, and as been disengaged from her class for many weeks now.  My husband and I are both working full-time from home, and we are just not able to provide the attention and energy that Piper requires.  This has caused some behavioural challenges, and a growing unwillingness to do anything related to school.
We are hoping to find an energetic, patient and creative ECE grad that is able to bring the fun back into learning for Piper through play-based modalities and engaging activities, both indoors and outdoors.  Because my husband and I are home, we will be able to ensure that snacks and personal care for Piper is provided.

  • We would prefer a recent graduate of the ECE program, but are open to ECE students currently in their final term of program completion.

  • Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators is not required, but preferred.

  • An updated CPR and First Aid is also an asset but not required.

  • We live in the north-east end of Guelph, and so reliable transportation to/from our home would be required.

Willing to pay between $16-$18 per hour, depending on ECE credential completion.

Please contact Sherri at sherri.steele13@outlook.com with a resume and expression of interest.
