Creative Beginnings Child Care Centre is currently looking for part time and supply staff positions in their childcare centres and YDP programs.

Creative Beginnings is a non-profit organization which operates three centres in Baden and New Hamburg. We currently offer care for toddlers to school age children in our licensed facilities.

Rate of pay – to be discussed

Qualifications:
·Diploma in ECE would be an asset. We would also consider ECE students
·Prior experience working with children in a childcare setting.
·Proven ability to work as an effective team member.

1 YEAR Maternity Leave Preschool Position

The incumbent must possess a minimum two-year ECE diploma plus a membership in the College of ECE. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), enthusiasm and a team work approach are definite assets.

Job Summary; responsible for providing a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment; showing sensitivity to the individual developmental need of the child. Plan and implement age appropriate programs to enhance children’s development while ensuring the philosophy of the program is upheld.

Monday – Friday, 35 – 40 hours per week.

To provide classroom coverage
To provide support and assistance to part-time and full-time childcare staff with daily centre routines and in the delivery of stimulating, developmentally appropriate play-based programming

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications

Must be a registered member with the College of Early Childhood Educators or be eligible to apply.

Strong candidates for this position will have:

3- 5 years experience working in programs with children from birth to age 6 and their families, preferably in a community setting.
Proven experience working within a diverse and inclusive environment.
Proven experience working within an emergent, play based early learning and literacy based framework.
Knowledge of Family Support Principles.
Proven ability and willingness to work as an integral member of a team
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Second language an asset
Standard First Aid with infant/child/adult CPR required
Police Check and Family and Children’s Services Check required

Responsibilities include;

Implementing developmentally appropriate activities and programs that promote early learning.
Providing an inclusive environment that is enriched with early learning opportunities that promote early literacy, language development, social skills

QUALIFICATIONS:
